_C_o_m_p_u_t_e _V_a_r_i_a_n_c_e _C_o_m_p_o_n_e_n_t _E_s_t_i_m_a_t_e_s

_D_e_s_c_r_i_p_t_i_o_n:

     Get variance component estimates from a fitted 'lme' object.

_U_s_a_g_e:

     varcomp(x, scale = FALSE, cum = FALSE)

_A_r_g_u_m_e_n_t_s:

       x: A fitted 'lme' object

   scale: Scale all variance so that they sum to 1

     cum: Send cumulative variance components.

_D_e_t_a_i_l_s:

     Variance computations is done as in Venables and Ripley's book.

_V_a_l_u_e:

     A named vector of class 'varcomp' with estimated variance
     components.
