_S_c_h_o_o_l _e_x_p_e_n_d_i_t_u_r_e _a_n_d _t_e_s_t _s_c_o_r_e_s _f_r_o_m _U_S_A _i_n _1_9_9_4-_9_5

_D_e_s_c_r_i_p_t_i_o_n:

     The 'sat' data frame has 50 rows and 7 columns. Data were
     collected to study the relationship between expenditures on public
     education and test results.

_F_o_r_m_a_t:

     This data frame contains the following columns:

     '_e_x_p_e_n_d' Current expenditure per pupil in average daily attendance
           in public elementary and secondary schools, 1994-95 (in 
          thousands of dollars)

     '_r_a_t_i_o' Average pupil/teacher ratio in public elementary and 
          secondary schools, Fall 1994

     '_s_a_l_a_r_y' Estimated average annual salary of teachers in public 
          elementary and secondary schools, 1994-95 (in thousands  of
          dollars)

     '_t_a_k_e_r_s' Percentage of all eligible students taking the SAT,
          1994-95

     '_v_e_r_b_a_l' Average verbal SAT score, 1994-95

     '_m_a_t_h' Average math SAT score, 1994-95

     '_t_o_t_a_l' Average total score on the SAT, 1994-95 .in -5
